The emergency stop signal (ESS) is a function that alerts the vehicle behind by rapidly flashing the hazard warning lights of the danger if the driver suddenly brakes while driving at high speed (50 km / h or more).

The hazard warning light flashes about 85 times per minute, while the ESS flashes about 220 times per minute.
